9.7. Emergency Lights Monitoring & Testing

Compliance

With Response Radio release all the features of ELMT available in the Response Portal for mapped Response Node/Response Radio will also be utilized by mapped Response Radios.

OR enabled emergency luminaires can be added to the Response Portal by simply mapping a Response node with compliant emergency device connected to it. Upon successful Response Portal commissioning the emergency luminaire is automatically discovered by the Response Portal. The auto discovery works for luminaires that can respond to query from a Response Node/Response Radio during addressing at initial boot up that the emergency gear is attached to them. The emergency gear must be compliant to standards based upon the applicable region;

  • IEC62386-202(ED1.0)

Emergency Device Detection

Upon mapping a Response Node / Response Radio would show emergency as a connected device next to the mapped Response Node. In the first instance it is detected it appears as highlighted yellow in ELMT pages otherwise it will change its color as detailed in later section (Link to section).

If a device has been reset after it has been tested, it will also show highlighted yellow as if no test has been performed on the device.

Once a building has emergency luminaire detected the option to navigate to emergency lighting page/menu become available within the Response Portal based upon the user access permissions. Please contact your building admin if you are unable to access emergency lighting menu.

Emergency Test States

When a test is conducted on any device they can possibly transition to the states as shared in the figure below,
