9.1. Response Portal Access & Commissioning

9.1.1. Response Portal Login

From December 2021, the method in which you would log into the Response Portal is changing. From this time and onwards, when you visit the Response Portal you will be greeted with the following new login screen, as shown below.

To continue through to the Response Portal with your account, please follow one of the following steps,

  1. If you wish to sign up for a new account then please click on “sign up”. Enter an email address and a new password for the account. Once the account is created you will receive a verification email to the email provided. After the verification, you will be able to successfully log in to the Response Portal using the registered email address and the set password. However note that if it is a new sign up then you may not have access to any buildings yet.

  2. If you wish to continue with your Google account, click on “Continue with your Google” to enter the Gmail address and the password for your Gmail account.

  3. If you wish to continue with your LinkedIn account, click on “Continue with your LinkedIn” to enter the email address and login details you used when registering with LinkedIn.

  4. If you wish to continue with your Apple ID, click on “Continue with Apple” and enter the Apple ID and password of your Apple account.

  5. If you are from a Securitas project, click on “ Continue with Securitas”.

Once you log in, you will then be presented with the Home Page. From this page, you can then navigate to your Organic Response enabled building, or if you have access to multiple buildings, they will all be displayed on this page.

Please note that the access to the buildings will be provided either by OR Technologies or an admin of the existing building. The Response Portal will only display the buildings associated with the logged in email address, so it is recommended that you use the same address to ensure that the access is consistent across buildings.

You can return to this page at any time by clicking on the Organic Response logo at the top left of the screen.

Once access is granted for one or many buildings, the summary page view for multiple buildings gives you an overall summary with information including,

  • Number of total Response nodes

  • Energy consumption

  • Number of disconnected/Offline Response nodes with icons showing warning sign if disconnected or offline and green tick if all connected

  • Overall occupancy percentage

You can click on the Search bar below the “Buildings” title to help identify buildings by their name. The information on summary page refreshes every 10 minutes, however, in order to see the updated information please refresh the browser page.

The summary page showing occupancy data is calculated by averaging the occupancy percentage of all the Response SN3 in that building for the past hour. The data which is considered for the calculation is live data as reported by each Response node up until the time the page was refreshed.

Similarly the energy consumption is averaged for the same period of time i.e. for the past 1 hour by estimating the energy consumed through

time ON per dim level * <the scale/watts for the lamp>

The above value is normalized for the whole building against the past hour window for all the Response nodes in the building.

Please note that if you want to change your log in method to one of the new login methods, we can merge your previous LinkedIn account so that you will have the same access. Please contact OR Technologies for assistance in merging your accounts.

9.1.2. Response Portal Commissioning

Although each Response SN3s has capability to connect to IoT gateway and then in turn report to Response portal, however the Response Portal need the Response nodes to be commissioned physically in order to associate the information within the Response portal to a Response node. This process is called commissioning which associates physical Response nodes to virtual Response nodes in the Response portal added manually following a simple mapping process. More on the process of commissioning later.
