9.0. Troubleshooting sensor nodes that don't change the colour temperature

The drivers we have tested can succesfully take the colour temperature changes as long as the firmware being used support tunable white feature (Query firmware response 184 or higher). Kindly always refer to the list of approved drivers for any testing and confirm that you are using tested DT8 driver in your luminaires.

9.1. Problem

In some circumstances where you experience that an approved driver is not taking colour temperature changes and respond to only dimming commands, we have found a specific sequence where this can be experienced on a turned-on luminaire. When a temporary dimming signal sent to the luminaire e.g. by sending a dimming command from an app or EnOcean switch is followed by a colour temperature change. In this case the colour temperature

9.2. Resolution

Therefore, if you encounter a problem where the luminaire doesn’t change the colour temperature check the above sequence and make sure to turn the sensor nodes back to on/auto after a temporary dimming command before sending any colour temperature change to a sensor node.

With the release 23 MAY 2022 (Firmware PIC 186 & Nordic 22) : We will include a fix to apply the colour temperature change regardless of any temporary dimming done on a turned-on luminaire. After the fix any of the approved drivers will be able to change colour temperature irrespective of the sequence in which the colour temperature command is sent to the sensor nodes.
