3.0 Successful communication

OR App

When you send a command from your device (using the dongle) to a Sensor Node (SN), the SN will flash red once to acknowledge reception of the command.

When you relay a command, the Sensor Node you are communicating with will flash red for 30 seconds, and all other Sensor Nodes in the zone will light solid red for 30 seconds. This response acknowledges receipt of the command throughout the space.

If Sensor Nodes do not respond by lighting up red, make sure that your dongle is properly plugged in your device and its battery is charged, that the dongle is pointing to the Sensor Node and is no more than 1 to 2 metres away.

OR Express App

When starting the OR Express App and after successfully logged in, the App will automatically detect the nearest SN and this will result in the red dome of the sensor node to stay solid red as long as it is the selected node. The selection can be dismissed if the red dome doesn’t go solid red on your intended sensor node. When you send a command from your device to a Sensor Node (via BLE), the SN will flash red once to acknowledge reception of the command.

When you relay a command, Dome of the chosen Sensor Node will flash red for 30 seconds.  The Sensor Nodes of each of the neighbouring luminaires that receive the Relay message will glow red (solid) for 30 seconds to indicate that they have received the Relay (e.g. MaxLight) signal. Any Sensor Node that does not glow red has not received the signal.
