1.0 Downloading the Apps

ORT currently has two apps, the traditional Organic Response App (which utilizes the IR dongle) and Organic Response Express App (which uses Bluetooth to communicate with the sensor nodes that have compatible version 184 or higher). The apps are available for both iOS and Android devices from the Apple Store and Google Play, respectively. Just search for ‘Organic Response’ or ‘Organic Response Express’ and download it (NOT OR Remote!).

Important Notes: For iOS, when using an iPad, if you cannot find our app, in the top left-hand corner of the app store, there is usually an option to select 'iPad only' or 'iPhone only'. Please select 'iPhone only' and then search again.

After opening the traditional Organic Response app, you will have access to basic functions but if you need access to more functions you will need to sign in using a LinkedIn or Google account and request ‘Configurator’ level access. You can do this by going to the top left 3-bar icon, App Settings and Selecting ‘Upgrade to Configurator’. For urgent access, contact OR Technologies (get-in-touch) or your supplier. However, to access the OR Express App, you always need to sign in using a LinkedIn or Google account (i.e. no access to basic functions without signing in).

1.1 ‘Upgrade to Configurator’ requests on iOS devices

Important Notes: When requesting 'Configurator' level access on iOS devices, frequently, the email address can become obscured, either due to phone settings or if the user chooses to leave the necessary option unchecked during login.

In such instances, managers of the user database receive a random email address ending in 'privaterelay.appleid.com' instead of the actual email address. This can result in delays in processing your Configurator request.

Please ensure to make your ID visible to us by following these steps before you request to upgrade to configurator;

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone, and tap your name.

  2. Click on “Password & Security”

  3. Click on “Sign in with Apple”

  4. Click on “OR Express App”

  5. Click on “Stop using Apple ID”

  6. Exit the settings and open OR Express again

  7. Click on sign in with Apple

  8. Click on “Share my Email”

  9. Log in and request for configurator access.
