1.6 Auto Blink - Response App
1.6.1. Introduction
When selecting a node, it can sometimes be hard to see its red dome. Dimming the light can help. The blink function works like this:
If the light is on, it will dim down and then back up.
If the light is off, it will dim up and then back down.
The ‘Auto blink’ button makes the light blink continuously, while the ‘blink luminaire’ option makes it blink once.
Important Note
The Response SN3 firmware version should be 188/23 to support this feature
Only the red dome will blink if there are no connected lights to a node.
1.6.2. How it Works
1.6.2.1. Blink - Response SN3
When you click on ‘SN3’ on the Response App home page, you will be taken to the node selection page, where you can see both the ‘Auto Blink’ and ‘Blink Luminaire’ options.
Clicking ‘Blink Luminaire’ will make the light blink once, along with the solid red dome.
Turning on ‘Auto Blink’ is useful when you need to go through many nodes to find the right one.
The auto-blink causes the selected node's luminaire and red dome to keep blinking unless you deselect or enter the configuration.
1.6.2.2. Blink - Response Radio Device
This is particularly useful for a Response Radio. Response radios are usually installed hidden and have no red dome to identify if you are connected to the right device. The ‘Auto blink’ option is enabled by default for a Response Radio, causing the lights to dim down and back up continuously.
Upon selecting a Response Radio.
‘Auto blink’ is active by default, causing the selected luminaire to blink continuously. Disable this option if you wish for the luminaire to stop blinking.
Press the ‘Blink Luminaire’ button if you want the selected luminaire to blink once.
If you would like to read more about the Blink Subscribers, Blink Group, and Blink Publishers, kindly refer to the section 3.9.1. Publisher Configuration (Response SN3 Only) or 3.9.2. Subscriber Configuration (Response Radio Only)
1.6.2.3 Blink - Response Highbay (Coming Soon)
When you click on ‘HIM84’ on the Response App home page, it will take you to the node selection page.
‘Auto blink’ is active by default, causing the selected high bay’s red dome & luminaire to blink continuously. Disable this option to stop the blinking.
‘Blink luminaire’ will blink the Red dome & luminaire once.
