9.5. Response SN3s/Response Radios
Allows user to tap into individual performance of any OR enabled luminaire. Users can manage the Response Nodes by using tools in this menus such as add them, map or delete the Response Nodes. The Response Portal commissioning guide will help the users with detailed step process on mapping of both SN3 & Response Radio (Click here for guide).
9.5.1. Node Information
Each node has the following information visible in the Response Portal once correctly mapped:
Node ID - Response Portal generated ID which is generated as soon as a node is placed on the floor plan
Node Address – automatically generated when nodes are mapped during the commissioning process. The node address matches the node address you see in the Response App when you do the node selection.
Group ID - Pub-Sub group ID nodes have
Burn Hours – calculated since the time of installation
Energy consumption – calculated based upon the current light outputs
Devices - showing numbers of EM lights & DALI drivers
BLE Scanning status
Tags if any assigned to the nodes
Mapping process is simply assigning Response Portal generated node ID to physical node addresses.
9.5.2. Tools for node Management
There are several tools available in the node’s menu that can be found over the node list and also appear when you take your mouse in the floor plan area. These tools include options such as,
9.5.2.1 Tools from node List
9.5.2.1.1. Filter | 9.5.2.1.2. Sort | 9.5.2.1.3. Export |
---|---|---|
You can filter the nodes from the list of Response nodes based upon the following
| You can also sort the list by the following fields
| You can export the node list (How to). The exported report includes the following;
|
9.5.2.2 Tools in Floorplan
The tools that become visible when you take your mouse on a floor allow you to;
9.5.2.2.1 Enable or disable the view of
All nodes
Subscriber connections
Attached devices
Faulty nodes
Mapped nodes
Unmapped
9.5.2.2.2 Allows you to add/remove Response nodes
Add nodes
Save
Undo
Discard changes
Please verify the location based upon the latest electrical layout.
9.5.2.2.3. Move nodes in the floor plan
Click on move node and select any node. Once selected you can drag the node to any location.
Move single node
Move all nodes relatively
Save
Undo
Discard changes
9.5.2.2.4. Select one or multiple Response nodes
Select nodes with any options available
Enable node selection bar
Area selection
Cumulative selection
Select all nodes int the floor plan
Clear selection
Delete selected nodes
Delete nodes - Use one of the selection options and delete the node.
Please be careful when selecting an area to delete nodes. Area selection will include all nodes in the chosen area, even if they are unchecked.
Use cumulative selection to avoid deleting unchecked nodes
Please note that the nodes are deleted asynchronously. So when you delete a node it will be queued for deletion shows as pop-up “node(s) are queued for removal. Please check again in a few minutes.“. It might take sometime before the node gets deleted. Once you see the confirmation for the selected nodes please continue with the rest and revisit the page to confirm the deletion.
9.5.2.2.5. Map sensor or Response Radio
Enable mapping icon
Map the nodes - Click on any node to attempt mapping. We recommend to go through Response Portal Commissioning Guide to go through the step by step process for mapping (Link to guide).
9.5.2.2.6. Configure Response Nodes
Clear attached devices - Select the Node and click on this to reset the connected devices (click here to see how).
Unmap nodes - Click on any Node and unmap.
Query BLE scanning status
Enable BLE scanning status
Disable BLE scanning status
Click here to see how to configure BLE scanning status
Clicking on any Response Node in the floor plan area will highlight that node in the Response Nodes' list.
9.5.2.3. Tagging
Tagging a Node is simple and it offers a means of identification, but also vital for features such as,
Running Emergency Test
Viewing analytics data for specific area (tagged) nodes
Circadian curve or other lighting control schedules
Distinguish nodes and addresses to enable BLE scanning and so on
The tagging of any node or group of nodes can also be done from Response nodes’ menu. Users are free to edit or add as many tags as required whereas 4 tags are created by default in any building,
Creating a tag is easy, navigate to the right handside tag menu in nodes page “Create New Tag“, simply name a tag e.g. Board room, assign a color by clicking on node icon and saving.
Once you have created the tag select one or multiple nodes and then simply check (to add) uncheck (to remove) the tag.
Please Note: The tag field is limited to 32 characters for length but there isn’t any character type restriction for the naming strategy. Neither is there a limit on the number of tags.
9.5.3. Replacing a Response node
Note: Here it is worthwhile to mention that once mapped the nodes can only be relocated one at a time and only within a floor or all relatively. If a user wish to change the location across the floors or uninstall any node the on-site mapping process would need to be repeated for moved or replaced Response Node. The user can easily delete the previously added nodes and then have the ability to add the nodes where required if he has relevant access and persmissions. The same goes when the whole luminaire is replaced with new hardware that includes a new Response Node.
