9.2. Building Administration
A building setup involves building creation and setting up building parameters. The administration page is accessible to building administrators using the option highlighted below or using the setting cog icon in the building list.
A building setup is completed before the project is handed over, i.e., as part of the commissioning process. The building administrator can access all parameters except for Service Information. These parameters are introduced in the below section.
9.2.1. Building
This section includes building-wide information & scanning control of the project,
9.2.1.1 Building Credentials
Create/edit a custom name, enter your address & add a photograph of your building.
Please note that the timezone should only be changed before adding any Response nodes & gateways to the Response portal. If changed after the data will become unavailable
9.2.1.2 Broadcast BLE Command
Send a broadcast BLE Command to Query, Enable, or Disable BLE scanning.
The command you send will be broadcast to all the response nodes (mapped/unmapped) in the building network through the gateways added to the building.
9.2.1.2.1 Query BLE Scanning
Choose Query BLE scanning and click 'Broadcast BLE command’ to enable BLE scanning in the whole building and this will be followed by a new pop up window with the following warning. Please remember to query the BLE scanning status to get the updated status on the Response node page.
9.2.1.2.2 Enable BLE Scanning
Choose enable BLE scanning and click 'Broadcast BLE command’ to enable scanning in the whole building and this will be followed by a new pop up window with the following warning. Please remember to query BLE scanning status to get the updated status in the Response node page.
9.2.1.2.3 Disable BLE scanning
Choose Disable BLE scanning and click 'Broadcast BLE command’ to disable BLE scanning in the whole building and this will be followed by a new pop up window with the following warning. Please remember to query the BLE scanning status to get the updated status on the Response node page.
9.2.2. Gateways
Add, remove, or update the gateway credentials in the building. You can also export the gateway details into excel simply by clicking on the ‘Extract Gateway Report’ button.
Note: Refer to the Gateway installation guide and Response portal commissioning guide for a detailed process. 2.2 Adding Gateways to Portal Installation
9.2.3. Floors
Add/remove floor plans after adding floors to a building. Remember that changing a floor plan would cause the incorrect positioning of any previously mapped Response nodes on the floor to be lost. Upload the image in the right format, with naming conventions, and in the correct size restriction, which will appear in the pop-up if the uploaded image has an incorrect format, name, or file size.
If you are invited to a new building with no floors,
Building admins will automatically navigate to this menu upon entering such a building.
Users without floor access will not be able to enter the building unless a floor is added. In this case, contact your building admin.
9.2.4. Users
An administrator can invite other users with their email addresses. This page also displays a list of current users with their access levels and a list of invitations sent.
9.2.4.1 Users list
In the above screenshot, the left window indicates the list of users. This list will include information such as
Name of the user
Their Email address and
All the roles assigned to them.
Once the invitee accepts the Response portal invitation sent by the building administrator the user name and the information will appear in this list here.
9.2.4.2 Invitations
From the above screenshot, the right half window will be used to keep track of invitations. This list will have useful information, such as
Email addresses of the invitees
Time the invitation was generated, and
The invitation token is generated against an invite.
Tenant details of the invitee
Refer to the Response portal commissioning guide for a detailed explanation of how to invite users to the Response portal buildings and the tokens. 2.3 Inviting a new user
9.2.4.3 Generating the invitation link manually
Alternatively, you can generate the invitation link manually for the invitees by following the steps below.
Copy the invitation token generated against an invite from the Invitations list.
Replace the word “Token” in the following URL with the token generated for the given invite.
https://portal.organicresponse.com/login?redirectUrl=/auth/invite/TOKENFor example, the invitation of the above screenshot will be as below: https://portal.organicresponse.com/login?redirectUrl=/auth/invite/2dc1a7e7-6300-4892-b393-b0985d249eff
The invitee can use this link to get access to the Response portal building
9.2.5. Roles & Permissions
Custom definition of access permissions that can be created for different user access levels only through admin access. Roles can be defined to have custom permission listed below and shown in the below image.
All – Admin Access checks all available access permissions.
View – View only permission
Heatmap – access to the heatmap page
High Resolution Analytics – GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is made compliant by giving customer the ability to enable to disable high resolution data along with live feature of the Response portal. Control Lights - Allows you to control light settings
Nodes – access the Response nodes page and make changes, e.g., add, edit map/Unmap & tag Response nodes. As well as access the ‘Map Response nodes’ page. Note this permission is tied internally to tagging permission; hence to be checked with the tags menu.
Floors – Add or edit floors.
Gateways – Add or edit gateway credentials.
BACnet Areas - Allows you to access the BACnet integration page where you can assign areas to different BACnet devices.
Bluetooth Beacons - Access the Beacon Configuration menu to configure the Beacons.
Lighting Configuration - Allows you to access the lighting configuration page.

Roles – Ability to access roles window, create and/or edit permissions.
Building – Access to the building page is useful in case of more than one building.
Schedules – Access to the schedules page and the ability to run, edit & add scheduled operations for lighting control systems.
