2.21 Query

This feature allows you to view the currently configured values of one or all of a Response node's parameters. When configuring a Response node (e.g., adjusting zone, light output, or max light), you can query specific parameters within the app.

You can also query all parameters at once with the “Query All” command.

2.21.1 How It Works

  • Response App: After selecting a node, a query message is sent, and the node’s red dome blinks once. If you use the “Query All” option, the dome blinks multiple times to indicate multiple queries. The node will respond, and the app will display the values as a pop-up.

  • Response IR App: The operation is the same, but you need a dongle pointed at the node to receive the response. The dongle must stay pointed at the node until it receives all the responses.

2.21.2 Parameters You Can Query

The following parameters can be queried using the “Query All” option in the Response app for an SN3. Please refer to each feature link to know if other products from OR support a feature. For example, Highbay may not support the zone but has maxlight.

2.21.3 Steps to Query a Response node

2.21.3.1 In Response App

Upon node selection. Go to the configuration menu (top right).

Ether click the desired query option
Or a specific feature or press “All” to query everything.

2.21.3.2 In Response IR App

Upon Node selection, go to the configuration features menu.

  1. Select the query option in the menu

  2. Press on each feature button if you want to query any specific feature.

  3. Press the' All' button to query all features in a single go.

2.21.4 Double Dwell Time

Double dwell time extends the sensor’s dwell time to twice the set value when it detects the final motion in a room or corridor. For example, if the dwell time is set to 10 minutes, it changes to 20 minutes if the last node in this zone detects the last motion.

This feature works only when the PIR of the last sensor detects motion, not from occupancy messages from neighboring nodes.

It’s disabled by default in SN3 firmware version 188/23.
