4.6. LMSA
This function allows you to ascertain the nodes with high LMSA (Lone Motion Sensor Activation) count. It is a troubleshooting tool to help a user find out if there is an interference that can result in false triggers. You can perform this simple step to do a visual check to find out the interference.
HOW TO CONDUCT LMSA QUERY (Response IR APP) | ||
Response IR App commands | Response from Node | Response from luminaire |
Point the dongle to the ResponseSN3, then on app press the LMSA under Transmission Test and then Relay Frequency if you would like to query LMSA for the whole zone. | If there is an interference at the time of the query the ResponseSN3s with high LMSA frequency will flash rapidly (or almost solid red) | None. |

Response App commands | Response from Node | Response from luminaire |
1.Choose “Configure Nodes“ from the home screen | None | None |
2. Upon selection e.g. “Configure Nodes” Response App sends a 'Scan for Node ID' message in the background as you enter in “Other Parameters” menu and can see the “node selection“ at the top. | Dome of ResponseSN3 will turn solid red to acknowledge selection of the node. | None |
3. If it is not the node you wished to select click on “Dismiss Node” or shake or pull down refresh on your phone to select another node. | The node previously selected will settle its red dome to off and newly selected node will indicate it is selected by its red dome staying solid red. | None |
4. Press the LMSA button under Transmission Test. and then. Remember to toggle relay if you like to query LMSA for the whole zone. All future commands from here will be automatically relayed | If there is an interference at the time of the query the ResponseSN3s with high LMSA frequency will flash rapidly (or almost solid red) [1] Upon finishing the command, the selected node with go back to solid red dome state unless you go back to selection mode to dismiss or make another selection.
| None. |
[1] Please note that the other sensors will also flash red but only those that are flashing so rapidly that they are almost solid red are the ones that are falsely triggering or continually detecting motion.
