Response Time / Latency

In Organic Response connected system there are several pathways which rely on multiple internal and external factors that have affect on the latency. These are outline below with possible latency information or can point out factors affecting them,

Gateways (Wirepas) ↔︎ Nodes

This is wirepas standard protocol which can vary due to environment. Since Wirepas is a properietary protocol we have adopted information from their KPIs.

In a good environment the average delay is 225 ms. Since it is environment dependent it is possible that in an example environment 5% or in others even more percentage of messages have a latency of over 425 ms. While the overall average delay will be 225 ms, good to note here is that scanning can affect the connection quality negatively and can increase this average to a higher value.

Gateway ↔︎ BMS/BACnet

This is entirely building IP network dependant as the BACnet is BACnet over IP protocol. It will adopt the same latecy commitments as the building network infrastructure within the building.

Gateway ↔︎ the OR Portal

This is reliant upon the both the bulding IP network and building ISP committments. Therefore the latency would be a combination of latency from gateways to external DB and from DB to AWS based upon your local ISP committed latency.
