OR3 utilises a low energy, mesh network for communication between OR enable luminaires and the OR IoT Gateway. This network is “Auto-Forming” as well as “Auto-Healing” – meaning that the network forms and responds to changes in the surrounding environment. Messages from each Sensor Node are sent to the gateway and then on sent to the cloud. The typical architecture is explained in the figure below;
